Student Projects

I am in the process of moving these over from Behance, so for now, please follow the links below to take a look at some of my early work done through the Career Foundry UX course.

Living Language: Click, Collaborate and Connect

This project was to conceptualize a vocabulary-learning app to help adults learn a new language in preparation for a temporary or permanent move to a new country. The key features allowed users to select particular scenarios that they were facing and grow the vocabulary bank based on the words that users most frequently searched for. It also included a community aspect that connected users to people currently living in the country to create a support network in their new homes. This project was completed over 5 days so is very high level.

Culinarian

Culinarian is a web app that was designed using the mobile-first approach. As the UX design lead, I was responsible for the research, design, and visuals. I was assisted by my tutor Valeria Zaide and my mentor Kim Berry. This work would not have been possible without the assistance of various potential users and my peers in the Career Foundry Community. The goal of the application was to create a product that connects a budding chef with an expert to help them troubleshoot and expand their cooking or baking skills in the forum that best suits them. This could be via messaging, video calls, or access to a database of tutorials and articles. This app was designed over six months and explores the full design process.
